After having had a Feng Shui audit performed, a homeowner decided to have a very unique one-hundred year old kitchen cabinet they had found in an antique market refinished in a Caribbean green color (pictured on the left both before and after). This is just one example of how the element of wood is introduced into a space when needed. The point is, we can be very creative with the items we already have.
A last thought. Isn't furniture a remedy since it is made from wood? No. Furniture made from wood is not a Feng Shui remedy since the wood is lifeless. In the case of the kitchen wall unit pictured, its remedial effect comes from its coloring since it is predominantly green. Finally, keep in mind that color works outside just as well - using color green as an accent color to windows, frames, shutters, or gutters can complement the Feng Shui of the house.
