A Summary of last weeks ‘focus’ on IKEA and Feng Shui!

As IKEA sells many decorating items in different colors and various materials, the IKEA stores are a great source for decorating ideas especially when it comes to Feng Shui. As the choice of colors is directly linked to the out-come of an individual OnLine or On-Site Feng Shui Consultation, IKEA offers many decorating items from pillows, towels and furniture just to name a few. As we are only working with the Five Elements (Water, Wood, Fire, Earth and Metal), and certain colors are associated with this it needs to be understood that blue and black tones can be introduced if the Water remedy is needed; shades of green can be introduced for the Wood element; red is the associated “color ” for the Fire element; tan and yellow tones are to be introduced if Earth is needed and white tones are representing the element of Metal. Whatever element is needed – IKEA definitely offers interesting design ideas for every room in a home.

This example of using IKEA products is the best example that any item purchased in any home decorating store can be used as a Feng Shui cure if needed in order to adjust the Feng Shui energies of any home. There is no such thing as Feng Shui products rather than introducing the right materials and colors to the right area.

The actual material is the #1 choice. When Water is needed as a Feng Shui remedy a real fountain will be stronger than the colors blue or black, Metal can be introduced by choosing metal furniture, etc; Wood is stronger by introducing live plants and the element of Earth can be any ceramic pottery. The only exception is Fire since we can not advise you on burning candles 24 hours a day – we do need to introduce the color red as a remedy.

Colors are the #2 choice when introducing the elements to a home. Whether one chooses a new bed frame for the bedroom or decides to furnish and decorate a new home – IKEA offers many choices - yet keep in mind that only a complete “Feng Shui Consultation” can give guidance what to introduce and what to avoid in order to achieve the perfect environment for living healthier and more prosperous, and as the history of Feng Shui dates back more than 2,000 years - it takes a big part in today’s modern living.  Just remember on your next trip to IKEA that any product you choose is going to have a direct or in-direct impact on your environment.
