5 Feng Shui Mistakes You Might be Making

The beautiful and mysterious art of Feng Shui has its roots firmly in ancient history, yet its branches have reached into modern times.  Feng Shui has been practiced for over two thousand years, and it began in ancient China. Archaeologists have discovered writings about Feng Shui going back as far as 225 B.C.

feng shui historyFeng Shui is based on the I-Ching, which is also referred to as the Book of Changes.  These teachings and the knowledge about Feng Shui, serve and help us understand how opposite energies are balanced in our environment. It teaches us how to recognize and utilize positive energies while reducing or eliminating negative ones so that we may achieve better health, happiness, and success.

The following are deadly mistakes that if avoided, can allow you to have the maximum amount of money, health, and good relationships in your life.

1. Location: When you are selecting the entry way for your home, you need to keep in mind that the front door has a major impact on energy flow.  If your door is located in a bad energy field, it can cause problems with your finances, happiness, and all relationships.

2. Colors: Many people don’t realize that colors play an important role in the Feng shui of a home.  In areas of your home that have tendencies to bring out the positive aspects in your life such as spirituality or creativity, introducing the wrong color can be devastating.

3. Water: If you place a water element outside your home in the west or northwest area, you can kill your finances.

4. Bed: If you put your bed in a location where it is split between two different energy zones, you may kill your relationship.  By sleeping in two different energy zones as a couple, it can create the feeling of distance which could turn into seperation.

5. Kitchen: Watch out in your kitchen where you put your stove.  If a stove is placed in the wrong place, the stove which belongs to the fire element, can burn off positive energies which could result in negative consequences.

As you can see, Feng Shui is serious business.  There are several things that you can do to cause negative energy in your home inadvertently.  Feng Shui is all about the balance of positive and negative energies. Maintaining a living situation where the good energies are elevated and the negative ones are removed or minimized as much as possible is ideal.

Takeaway

When one achieves balance in a home with a positive energy flow it causes many aspects of your life to become better. By avoiding deadly mistakes, you can also avoid negative impacts on your life, your finances and your relationships.
