Bathrooms And Their Feng Shui Impact On People Are Often Over-Rated

Many books and consultants talk about the importance of bathrooms in regard to Feng Shui. They often place undue emphasis on the bathroom, but they fail to understand one important fact: We don’t live in our bathrooms.

In fact, only rooms we spend a lot of time in have an impact on the inhabitants of a home. Generally, only those energies impact us. While it is good to introduce things like even lighting and have a commode that is separated by a door from the bathing area, often the importance of Feng Shui in the bathroom is overemphasized, to the detriment of much more important locations in the home.

Where do you spend most of your time?

More important locations in the study of Feng Shui are the entrances to our homes, home offices, bedrooms and other rooms alike. This is because we do live in these rooms. Think about where you spend the most time in a home (hopefully it is not the bathroom!): The living room, the family room, and kitchen are places that we tend to occupy for greater lengths of time. The bedroom is also another important location because we spend many hours in there sleeping every single night.

The Ba Gua is applied to a floor plan based on the sitting and facing of a home, by the use of a compass. Only then can we  see in which magnetic chi fields they are located. Hopefully they are located in one of the negative Gua’s (magnetic chi fields) so they do not use up good spaces which are better used for bedrooms, etc.

If a bathroom has to be cured, it might be from the fact that the window is in a zone which promotes robberies by breaking through them. When windows are located in certain zones, they can make the home vulnerable to outside negativity, and often this can come in the form of break-ins or vandalism.

Some Tips

There are many basic things you can do to attend to the Feng Shui of your bathroom, many of which are common sense solutions. For example, you can make sure that all your drains are functioning properly. Drains are where the bad energies from being unclean literally get drained away. If they are running slow or backed up then you will have the same problem with bad energies not draining away properly.

Occasionally, a bathroom can be located in a difficult area of the home, where it is too close to good energies coming in, such as near the entrance of your home.

When re-designing a home a consultation can help to find the best location for the bathroom. A Feng Shui consultant can help you place everything in your home just so, so that all the energies are best utilized and incorporated. By doing this, you will ensure good Feng Shui in your home or office.

Takeaway

Many times in Feng Shui Bathrooms are overrated. Only rooms where you spend a lot of time in have an impact on you. We don´t live in our bathrooms! So, hopefully your bathroom is located in one of the negative Gua´s. Many times the importance of Feng Shui in the bathroom is overemphasized, to the detriment of much more important locations in the home.
