Feng Shui: Is Your Home Office Good for Money and Good for People?

Home offices are an integral part in many people’s lives as an increasing number of people are establishing home based businesses in order to create income.

Feng Shui can be used as a “tool” helping you to enhance the energies of your office space; Feng Shui correctly applied will bring positive energies into your work space which will help you on your way to success by creating a high-energy space!

Manage the existing Feng Shui of your home office before finances are sabotaged.  First it is important to understand that Feng Shui is not something you do, rather than something you already have.

Your home office’s / your home’s energy blueprint was created the year your house was constructed.  As any building shows a mixture of supportive and non-supportive energies there is unfortunately no such thing as the “perfect Feng Shui building”.

The first approach in Classical Feng Shui is to address health and relationship related aspects since money can not buy perfect health and happy relationships.  Once you have avoided negative influences on your health and relationship/s by applying Feng Shui to your surroundings, your home office’s energies need to be addressed in order to make the right choices for your financial future.

Your home office is part of the “energy blueprint” of your house, and with this in mind it belongs to one of the five Feng Shui “House Categories”: Your house is either:

Ø      Good for Money and Good for People

Ø      Good for People and Bad for Money

Ø      Good for Money and Bad for People

Ø      Bad for Money and Bad for People

Ø      Locked for Money and/or People

The chances are that you most likely will experience career and financial problems if your home office is in a house that is “Bad for Money”.  The same difficulties can also be experienced if your house is “Locked for Money”.  The good news is that in many cases the house can either be un-locked for Money and cured if it is “Bad for Money” by installing a water feature as a remedy to be introduced to the outside.  The amount of water/gallon needed depends on the size of the house, and the exact location can be determined by a Feng Shui Consultation.

If your home office is located in a home which has been diagnosed as being “Bad for People” constant health problems can occur.  In this case certain remedies can be introduced to improve this aspect.

As many home owners ask where their “Wealth Corner” is located in their home in order to locate the best possible location for their home office it is important to understand that in “Classical Feng Shui” the home is divided into nine equal quadrants (grid) also called magnetic Chi fields.  Based on an exact 15 degree LoPan Compass reading it can be determined which area in a home is ideal for a home office – since each house has four good magnetic Chi fields and four magnetic Chi fields which are negative.  So hopefully your floor plan allows you to move your home office into one of the good zones.

For example: If you live in a house which has a sitting direction towards the North and the Facing Direction is towards the South your home office would best be located in the SE Quadrant of your home.  This zone belongs astrologically to the Wood element, and is considered to be the most favorable of the eight magnetic Chi fields bringing respectability and huge fortunes.  Furthermore, as each one of the eight magnetic Chi fields also shows a combination of two of the Five Elements (Water, Wood, Fire, Earth and Metal) by mathematically calculating each zone we will find out which elements are present in your home office as a manifestation of the Chi energy.  This can only be calculated by knowing the exact 15 degree Sitting of a home as well as the year of construction.  Yet hypothetically speaking, if this home office would show a combination of the Water and Wood Elements we can expect a person working in this home office to easily bring in the money.

The conclusion is that there is no such thing as a standard “Wealth Corner” since every house is different in nature.  Each one of the eight magnetic Chi zones have the potential in either supporting or sabotaging ones life, work and finances.

Again, it is important to understand that your home office is part of a Feng Shui Home Calculation – Please also take a look at yesterday’s article in which we focused on some easy “tips and tricks” how you can start creating a better home office environment by simply taking the first step of de-cluttering your office.
